I am looking for either a job in central ohio on a public or private farm.

I am happy to help someone who might want to start up a
boarding facility and would be interested in doing beginner lessons,
or someone who might have a private barn and want to have personal
horses trained, sold, and add a small income through something of
that sort.
I am also avaliable and would be interested in a summer working student position or a farm counselor position. I am avaliable to move for the summer, approx 3-4 month. I do not have a ton saved up, so a place where income can be earned would be great. I have experience on a large farm and am capiable of keeping up. Although a slightly smaller farm where I can focus and learn about training, further riding, and expand equine education would be great as well.
Below is a list of general equine related experience that I have. Please email me if you have further questions about my experience.
*Starting unbroke horses in their first 30, 60, and 90 days for basic riding.
*Working with OTTBs to be retrained for hunter, jumper, and basic riding skills.
*Working with race horses on the track at races, hot walking, preping for races, walking out after races, and helping to handle them back at the farm.
*Riding green, seasoned, and show horses from exercise, to training, to tune-up rides in general riding, low level jumping, western riding, and a few years back saddlebreds.
*Experience helping with First Aid from cold hosing, walking, applying meds, helping wrap, and watching IVs. I started to learn other first aid techniques from being there with a fractured sesamoid in a race horse, broodmare deep lacerations, foal injuries, blown absesses and more.
*Handeling broodmares, foals, stallions, and horses of all temperments from 25yo retired horses to hot and feisty.
*Always willing and wanting to learn to expand my riding and would enjoy riding to further myself and knowledge. So some riding time isntead of always mucking stalls would be great. I know stalls, feeding, turn in/out, watering, and barn cleaning are responsabilities. I am firmiliar with work, after 14 years in the industry. I would also love the oppertunity to show and/or do clinics if the barn offers something of that sort.
*I am an adult, 20s, and am reliable, not afraid to ask questions, hard working, relaiable, and enjoy the work horses are. That being said I am not a slave laborer, won't put up with job harassment, and will in a professional manor discuss anything I am uncomfortable with.
*On a last note, I would prefer a place that will allow me to bring my dog. He is firmilar with horses, well trained, fine with horses, dogs, cats, and other livestock. He is fixed, UTD on shots, non-agressive, and I can answer any questions about him. Ileft him behind 2 summers ago and regretted that decissions.

Your daily duties will be assigned according to your prior experience, but you can expect to spend a lot of time working with horses using natural horsemanship.
You will also be exercising horses, helping with the breeding program, performing ranch maintenance and some household duties which could include cleaning rooms and helping with meals and barn and kennel clean up.
Compensation is room and board. Ranch provides food, on-site shared housing, horses, tack and training DVDs.
The prevailing ethic at Red River Station is -- Hours are long, expectations are high, and we never say can’t do.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be physically fit and have no physical or mental disabilities. Interns must have their own health or accident insurance and a valid driver’s license. Those accepted into the internship program are responsible for their travel expenses to and from Red River Station. Duties involve significant physical activity. Applicants accepted into the internship program must have prior experience working with horses and have basic knowledge of riding and horse care. Interns must have a strong work ethic, have no prior history of drug or alcohol abuse, must comply with ranch dress and comportment expectations, and adhere to safety standards at all times.

History with horses: I started taking riding lessons when I was about 6 years old and have been riding ever since. I had my own horses a few years back and fully understand the responsibility that comes with having horses - a lot of hard work and dedication. My danish grandmother(77 years old) has a horseranch this very day, and she now has 23 horses that people can rent for an hour or two. At one time she had 36 horses, so every summer when I visited, I was thrown into a lot of hard work and other engagements at the farm(I still do) - taking care of the customers, helping them, stable maintainence etc, and I truly love it. Its something about beeing outdoors many hours a day and feeling that you get good use of your body, and as a bonus I could just pick a horse and go horseback riding.
The horses on my grandmothers farm is a fine mix of Islandic horses, one welsh cup pony, one fell pony and one andalusian horse - I have have tried every horse in the herd, so I have a good knownledge of horses, or at least my grandmothers horses.
Working on an american farm is something I know I would love. To be around a different type of horses and probably a different way to run the buisness. I know that this experience is something I can grow as a human being and I would truly appreciate the oppurtunity given to me, if someone out there would like to hire me as one of their employees.

necessity. I have been riding since I was 10 and me and my horse are
currently level 3 Parelli students. I am looking for a job caring for
any number of horses. I am not an extremely experienced rider but I
have ridden English and Western and know all of the basics
(walk/trot/canter/some gallop/tacking up/ etc). I worked at a
therapeutic horseback riding center for 3 years as the main caregiver
of 5 horses. My duties included mucking stalls, turning out, bringing
in, feeding, basic grooming/care, worming, making vet/farrier
appointments, and general barn upkeep and cleanliness. I worked
mornings and evenings but also worked overtime in case of bad weather
or emergencies. Since I am desiring to live away from home for a few

I have experience with varying ages of horses as I currently
ride at a breeding barn and do help with newborns and work around

I have grown up taking lessons, camp, and just generally hanging around the barn to learn and be around horses! I was responsible for 16 horses feeding, turning out, etc. for a year. I also was a head counsler for a childrens camp teaching beginners from scratch, but I do have experience teaching intermediate riders on the flat as well as over fences.
I currently attend school for Equine Business Management in CT and during my relocation I would still be going to school online but will have plenty of free time to work.
